ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGES FOR 2021
2021 is a crucial year for climate change. The taking of concrete actions to protect our environment and the worlds’ agenda has a significant event that 2020 did not allow to develop the Glasgow meeting to give progress and proposals on the Paris Agreement; it will take place in November and aims to generate strong policies to slow down climate change and the world’s carbon footprint.
With the appearance of the vaccine against COVID-19, the focus of attention is expected to return to the environmental management that we must have to reduce our negative impact. According to what was agreed in 2015, in Glasgow, the increase in temperature at the end of the century should be 2ºC maximum. However, it is already estimated that we will exceed it with 3ºC, this is worrying since the change has accelerated in the last 15 years, exceeding record heat temperatures year after year. 2016 and 2020 have been the hottest and most disastrous for ecosystems. So, Glasgow 2021 gives us a forum at which carbon cuts can be ratcheted up.

We have to bet on renewable energy; they are the boom of these times. There is a good reason why so many countries are now saying they plan to go net-zero: the collapsing cost of renewables is completely changing the calculus of decarbonization. Mainly because they are much cheaper than fossil energy sources, using more environmentally friendly energy generates a significant intangible value for communities and their image.

2020 showed us that it is possible to reduce our energy consumption at home, work, and daily life and the emissions of CO2. This also influenced the fact that air and land transport of tourism was on hiatus for a long time. However, this same situation place us in front of possibilities to innovate, in terms of mobility, expenses, and the use of resources in a more conscious way. 2020 New estimates: world.

Energy consumption is falling 30% faster than the GDP, CO2 emissions are decreasing 50% faster than energy consumption, due to the higher impact of the economic crisis on sectors with a relatively high carbon factor (thermal power generation, transport) Includes international air and sea transport (not included in-country data).
Part of our commitment to the world and the communities in which we operate is to develop and obtain new green technologies, through our allies, that allow us to reduce our environmental footprint. We create shapes and designs in our facilities that improve ventilation, reducing energy consumption through greater thermo efficiency and scalable production, natural lighting, and ecological air conditioning. We have realized how we can leave our grain of sand with simple efforts and be part of this positive impact.
Some examples of the technology we implement are:
Constructions covered by local material: our modular and ergonomic buildings are covered in native fauna, improving the environment’s air circulation and oxygenation. It is important to emphasize that new vegetation will not enter the environment. This strategy also reduces the pollution of the environment while keeping almost untouched local life and landscape.
Modular constructions that adapt to all climates: Our constructions are designed to be installed anywhere in the world with a low environmental impact, created with high-tech sustainable materials and ergonomic shapes that favor ventilation and natural lighting without forgetting the sensation of comfort and luxury that our users live in their day today. It also favors that the construction time is shorter. Thanks to this, there is less impact, less waste in the process and the need for internal energy use is reduced.

Wastewater reuse to maximize water use: We use wastewater from our complexes for irrigation and maintenance of our organic orchards and gardens.
Use of renewable energies: Wind power turbines and Tesla batteries, also Solar Energy savings in some of our projects to reduce the impact on the use of traditional energies.
These are examples of how we are entering a new wave of green, sustainable and conscious projects with the change that we must generate in the world. We would love for you to be part of this path and of this great community that is slowly growing. 2021 has brought us thousands of our challenges with humanity to take care of the earth a little more. We are following the signs of evolution. If you have more strategies that you would like us to implement in our complexes, write to us in the comments, we would love to read you.
